The rain is just driving into my window about as loud as I’ve ever heard it.

72mph wind gust in Jemison, AL (Chilton County). That’s roughly halfway between Birmingham and Montgomery.

Chilton CO 911 has been busy with tree down reports on twitter. It has been a while since I can remember winds this strong this far up.

Looks like the Birmingham radar may be down. Hopefully it’s just temporary.

Sounds like the wind on the backside of the center is pretty bad, even without much rain back there.

Same man. Whistling and howling all night.

I hope my neighbors that have all those blow up Halloween decorations put them up before this or they will be picking them bitches up from the next neighborhood in the AM.

Pretty consistent 30-40 mph winds here in the burbs north of Atlanta.

ETA maybe more... got a pretty sizable tree down in my yard

Limbs everywhere in central AL. Some fast food places closed due to no employee's showing up.

it got hairy where i am south of Birmingham about 1:30 - i know we had a few hurricane force gusts several times.

the apartments i live in lost the tops of a lot of trees - I ended up clearing the rain road in about a 1/2 hour ago, cause it was blocked with down limbs.
