Also in Fairhope but still have power. Baldwin EMC so shocked. Keeps flickering though, so I went ahead and put the thermostat on 64 just in case.

You live out there? How's your place?

No obvious damage. Doors and windows rattled during the peak (between 7 and 7:30). I'll check the yard in the morning.

Other than no power, it's a lawn chair meme where I am. (I know not everyone was that lucky.)

Backflow up the bayou maybe?

Didn’t think about that. Mouth of the the bayou was getting hammered with 70+ mph winds out of the south. Water had to push in there bigtime.

Feels like the golden nugget gets fricked every time.

At least Biloxi got wise about barge-based casinos after Katrina.

Can't wait to wake up in the morning and see if there's any beach left.

People give Cantore shite but he nailed the Biloxi location. Trucks are floating at the Golden nugget and he’s live.

It’s still blowing here in Gulf Shores. Keep waiting on a break so I can go grab my Zaya Rum from my truck down stairs.

We have a place on bayou lacroix in bay saint louis that survived katrina...14' off ground now...I'm really not feeling like going to clean up after this one...would just be mudding out the tackle room and getting the silt off everything else.

Dish took a minute but it’s back on in the condo. The wind is really tearing down the stairwells

But to be fair the Biloxi storm surge has been insane from all reports.

Do we know what the surge was around the Jefferson davis home?

Got about 8ft above beach blvd to work with before we get flooded.

I'm thankful I'm still renting. These winds have turned shingle into projectiles. I walked out a little while ago and the windshield on my jeep is either shattered or fogged up. Saw shingles flying and ran back in.

somebody said the burrito levee failed in several places so they must have gotten some pretty good surge. But if they truly got way less than GM and Leeville would be because of the angle of approach. It looked on the radar that the eye came in right over west Timbalier island moving north northeast. That would push the bay up into leeville and GM but not so much directly into grand isle. I bet they got some surge from the bayside due to water running straight through the southwest canal into caminada bay.

I would imagine you're pretty safe. I'm just a few minutes west of you.
