I’ve only heard of one section of levee that breached on Grand Isle

400k out of power is possible I guess.

Where in Waveland? Spoke to my mom there about 20 minutes ago and she said the wind was insane

They are at the Circle K at the intersection of Waveland Avenue and Highway 90.

That's an awfully big range of outcomes they're throwing out there. C'mon man!

Tragic news: there is a blue shed looking structure on Brett Adair’s stream that has been toppled.

Looks like Orleans Parish has 147,000, St Bernard 17,000, Jefferson 173,000, St Charles 16,000 without power. I’d say it’s going to be a minute. Also depends on equipment available to replace damaged equipment. My buddy works for Entergy as a Lineman and said all along the coast they’ve used up a huge amount of the supply.

I think they just happened to drive into a very specific area of extremely high wind or pressure change right at the wrong time. Saying a prayer for your mom to be safe!

Jeff wasn't in it, though. That fricker is currently dealing with 157ft of snow.

The area behind Gerald's doughnuts has power, back for aboot 6-8 blocks. Pretty much nowhere else around does.

Mesovort actually makes the most sense. It would cause the sudden drop of pressure that would do that type damage to the car, assuming nothing hit the car to cause it.

Oh alright. I figured we in St. Charles caught part of the northern eyewall unless I’m mistaken. It’s not terrible but it was pretty intense.

I’m in nola, never lost power, not even a shingle.

I’m going crank down the AC, eat some homemade chicken pot pie and drink a bottle of wine and hit the rack.

It’s been real. Hope you all are safe.

Gonna go hit the road tomorrow and check on friends and loved ones and make sure our camps are still floating.
