That Leeville picture is crazy because the tidal gauges all around there are high, but not much higher than the king tide they had last week. That’s nuts.

And experienced sustained hurricane winds.

We’ll let the NHC post season analysis be the judge of that.

Yeah a bunch of us went out in the calm to clean drains and pick up branches and stuff. I kind of didn’t realize it was the eye.
Second round was way worse and I think knocked out everyone else who had power left.

Pretty surprising so many of you are saying this. Wasn’t the case in Lafourche parish, according to met stations there.

I have been through a few hurricanes before but I can’t remember the first part being nothing, not even hurricane force winds.......then the eye......then much stronger winds

Has anyone had eyes on the Galliano Walmart parking lot? Many boats and RV's relocated to their parking lot from Grand Isle. My brother is here in BR worried about his RV.

I would think the water isn’t close to the levees down there, but that Leeville picture is shocking.

Great state of Chalmette checking in. We lost power once what appeared to be the eye wall hit. Lost some flashing and got up on the ladder to cut it down once the eye was over us. We’re on the backside now but not as squirrelly as the front half. Stay safe.

Diggy out

Same here. We all still have power and all went out to clean storm drains and drink some beer during the eye. Got some really cool pics of the backside of the eye moving over us with the orange and purple sky.
