9.5 ft surge at NWS Station Bay Waveland yacht club
quote:

We have a place on bayou lacroix in bay saint louis that survived katrina...14' off ground now...I'm really not feeling like going to clean up after this one...would just be mudding out the tackle room and getting the silt off everything else.

I don't know about that 9.5' reports accuracy...

Just checked out our place...nothing got into the tackle room and that is only 3' off of the slab...silt is everywhere...worst we've seen with silt since Katrina.

Maybe because we are off the Jordan and just past 603 bridge on Bayou Lacroix that the surge may not have been near as bad as the bay waveland yacht saw.

THis mother fricker is in Georgia and still a strong TS. My dad works in the black belt region of Alabama and he says it’s wrecked. Poles and trees snapped everywhere and laying across the highways, farms shops blown away, catfish farm feed bins toppled. This storm looks to have the most widespread major damage of any so far this year

I’m in the west central area of the black belt and it wrecked shite everywhere. I can even get out of my driveway at the moment and if I could I couldn’t go 50 yards down the road.
Power company trucks and asplund clean up trucks are lined up down the road. Blew several windows out of my mothers house and dropped a huge tree on her roof. Must have spun a lot of tornados. It got real bad from 12:30 -2AM.

Ivan was the last I can remember that did so much damage this far inland and it was a freakin Cat 4. Zeta, you filthy whore!

Sorry I likely worded wrong.

I mean as far as multiple states impacted. I did not mean to suggest worse damage. I apologize. I am running off no sleep.

Stout, how's your house coming along? The past 3 weeks there have a ton of people in Houston loading up on shingles and driving back to Louisiana. Even the Lowes in Houston are getting slammed.

Will be interested how Zeta factors into the huge shingle demand.
