Yeah, abusive dead beat dad used to beat him and his mom, they all did drugs and drank, pretty sure mom drank heavily during pregnancy. He had all the typical fetal alcohol syndrome features. Short stature, small nose, no sense of right and wrong.
If I remember correctly someone in his family, an uncle or something, was shot and killed in a biker argument when he was real young too.

Here in lies the problem
We need more prisons
Or less absent daddies

We need less prisons and more permanent solutions

I remember him from IMMS also. We were in a couple classes together. He had a “following” back then. He was off.

Wow just reread that 2012 linked thread.
Forgot we had established many of us know/knew each other.

Yep... I was in Ms Lucio’s home room in 6th. Damn that was a long time ago. I went all 3 years and went to Central high after.

Only one I was friends with was Greg R. Not sure what ever happened to him.

He maced the entire CHS student body is what happened to him.

I don’t remember that. He went all artsy in high school.

Ok, I think you’re confused. The Greg R that went all arty has to be the Greg R that was all into the drama club, right? He was a lil pus and never did anything like mace all of CHS.
That was Glenn H. He got expelled and finished at Starkey, I believe.
Y’all absolutely have to be confused or there is another Greg R from Bellingrath that I don’t know about.

I guess I missed the Zebbie Berthelot era altogether - I finished classes after the Spring 1991 semester and wouldn't be back until Fall of 1993 for Law School.
There were tons of unique characters, but outside the occasional, "Hey, some cat just 'sleepwalked' out the window of Kirby Smith," things like that didn't seem to happen all that often.
I don't know if we're more aware, there's more coverage or there is actually more sketchy shite going down now or what. In any event, seems a more questionable place than "back in the day."

There were a lot of sketchy characters hanging around the North end of campus back then
