Recovery community, he was a great guy and it really sucks seeing people be so disrespectful. He would give his shirt off his back to help out a struggling addict.

It doesn't look very deep, he likely was getting short on breath and excited about proposing and just forgot about the ledge directly above.
Not so much a stupid, risky, attention seeking mistake but just a tragic accident.
