Yeah, a go around would be the best lesson for that one. Rudder pedals would have been more for salvaging that shitty landing.

I probably over control the rudder flying fixed wing because I’m so used to flying rotary where anytime you adjust your power setting you’re on the pedals.

Can someone explain to me what happened? And I love how that dude went straight for the camera as if that was some normal landing. I would want to get the hell out of the airplane.

Came in hot as frick for a C172. Got into ground effect and couldn’t maintain runway centerline. Forced the aircraft onto the ground without any sort of runway alignment and failed to control the rollout...in a gist
The landing is what you would expect from a pre-solo student pilot with 1-6 hrs flight time.

Comment on video by Fabi Hansi gives you a very good second by second break down of his mistakes and possible techniques to correct. He must be an instructor.

I put a 172 down once at way over the demonstrated crosswind component. The upwind wing was nearly on the deck, and I skidded pretty hard until I got the second wheel down. I was young and stupid.
I landed a warrior at night with no runway lights. On the rollout, a fox got spotlighted by my landing light and I took him out with the gear.
Good times.

I’ve done the same at Murfreesboro as a student pilot. Put myself in a bad position because I was fuel critical so I had to land. I had to change my underwear after that.
Also taught me to use joker fuel in addition to true bingo.
