This is me now.

I would literally commit suicide if I was stuck there for whatever reason.

Nicholson area, The Garden District & the southdowns era.

Like a previous poster said, I'd probably want to live somewhere that a quick uber ride to the places I like to go out & eat.

What area of town do you work in?

With that being said, I think everyone born in the area should live somewhere else before deciding to return or not.

Truth! I lived in Plano/North Dallas/Mockingbird Station in that order over 2.5 years after college to fully embrace the Dallas Vibe.... and hated it.

Lived in Natchez for 3 years and hated it.

I love living back in my hometown of Baton Rouge and take the good with the bad. If I ever move again it won't be to a city smaller than Lafayette or Bigger than New Orleans/Austin again.

I'd rather live in Flowood, MS outside of Jackson before I lived in DFW or Natchez again.

Yes, it is.

Baton Rouge is a shithole.

And even taking a huge paycut... and having to deal with all of the issues associated with moving... is still going to render a better quality of life in any of those cities over BR.
Not sure how that is even debatable.

Additionally, he can fly back for the baseball super-regional weekend and the one or two decent football home games.
That way, he won't miss out on anything interesting BR has to offer.
But he'll have the added benefit of not having to live in BR the rest of the year.

At the moment, BR is decent. My job allows me to keep my options open. I also don't believe in just moving for the sake of moving. Along with the fact that I would need a pretty decent increase in pay to move within the state of Louisiana (Being an hour away from NOLA is perfect. I have no interest in living in North,Central or SWLA).

Have you ever lived in BR? Fl Sate fan, Tallahassee is a real cultural center Dude is making $$ and happy, keep your cracker azz away.

OP, the condos at Nicholson gate are affordable and should increase in value as the area is gentrified. Vey easy to walk to games without the parking problems

You're single, no kids, and making good money. Where do you live, in BR?

I added the comma you left out, undoubtedly by accident. And the answer is, of course, no.
