the young folks today are really at a disadvantage when it comes to favorite bar stories. us boomers got started at the age of 18, and if you were tall enough to put your money on the counter, a beer at 15 was doable

I like the Snicker Bar,but the Three Musketeer Bar and Mounds Bars are good as well.

I never got the allure of Southdowns.
The word “allure” should probably not be used in the same sentence as Southdowns Lounge. However, the place was epic. I once saw Billy Carter, the President of the United States little brother, sitting on a flat bed truck outside the front door to the bar, swilling Billy Beer and babbling incoherently in the worst South Georgia booger eating moron accent I’ve ever heard, including my drill sergeant’s.

Phillips was an interesting place. A college dive that got totally remodeled around 2000 into some kind of discotheque scene. Insanely attractive female bartenders in the early 2000s.
Original Bruno's. I would go in there in college and see my Dad's friends in there. My grandparents hung out there in the late 1930s, they also went to F&M's, another very old bar.
Fat Harry's number one with a bullet, pre 2012 fire. In the late 90s that place would be wall to wall, you could barely get around. And you went home smelling like the Phillip Morris factory.
