Yeah the watching me pee, poop, shower was weird but understandable esp with going home alone.
But I'll never for the life of me understand why they dressed me up in a little bo peep outfit and take pictures but hey I'm not a medical expert.

Special thanks to all those who have experienced something like this before in a reaching out sharing with me your transparency and honesty is helping me recover

They let Bill out after a month because we were both ICU nurses. He Was Neuro (ironically) and I was med/surg.. they knew that I was going to be there with him for three weeks. I had vacation time built up. Did you say that you are going home alone? The rehab should have already set up home health at least every other day and you should have someone checking in on you on those off days. I’m not trying to boss you around but you have just experienced a life changing event. You need help and support. I see by this thread that you have plenty of friends. But now is not the time to be proud or too long by yourself.

Well. Just know that although I don’t know you, I’m proud of your progress. I think Bill is, too. Because he pointed this thread out to me this morning. Please don’t hesitate to ask if you don’t know something about this crazy system. We have navigated the disability thing, too if you have any questions about that aspect. Please keep us updated.

I’m supposed to say no pics and I have my own Bo Peep outfit?

That would be wonderful. Darn. I should update my email on my profile. I haven’t even looked at it in years. Doing that now.

Wow. It’s still the right one. After all these years. I guess I’m a satisfied customer.

Man it’s good to see you post and know you’re home!! I understand completely about how weird it is to have nurses watch you shite and refuse to let you wipe your arse
I was in a coma for a week last year and waking up to being watched like a hawk was traumatizing in a way. Hoping you stay outta the hospital for good. Kick recovery’s arse dude.

Owlvis:

Let me be the first to congratulate you on going home today. Undoubtedly liberating, but probably a little scary. Glad you are doing well and your recovery is progressing. Take care and be well.

Just make a TD checklist of weirdos who are willing to peak into your windows peeping tom style. Assign them times so they can social distance. You got this!

2 pm is the final parole board hearing

Thank you all This has been a horrible and at the same time an amazing experience
the love and support and encouragement from the board honestly has sustained me through this month I'll be looking forward to succeeding in my recovery and sharing the credit with you all.

God bless you all for your generosity kindness and support

I'll share some of my stories once I actually get out of here and don't have to worry about being overheard It's really fun sharing a room with a dementia patient
