Never happened to me but it happened to a friend of mine. One of his best friends from high school - well let's just say he wasn't the best with the ladies and got engaged to the first pussy that came along. My buddy tried to tell him that it was a mistake but he didn't listen. But he was right.

A few years later they were divorced with a kid. The mother is still a complete bitch and makes the guy's life hell. Of course the worst part is that the kid is caught in the middle. Fortunately he remarried to a great woman and is happy aside from the bitchy ex.

Best buddy since childhood is married to a complete terror. When he told me he planned to propose I bit my tongue and congratulated him.

She was the first girl he slept with, got her knocked up pretty soon after HS and they got married. Got pregnant with their second pretty shortly after (the kids are less than 2 years apart.

She now uses the kids (my godchildren) as weapons against everyone. She asked us for $5000 so they wouldn’t get kicked out their house and when we refused she told him to cut ties with us. Same exact situation with both her and his parents. She keeps track of everywhere he goes. He wakes up, goes to work then goes directly home. Checks his phone because she accuses anyone he talks to of trying to break them up. She’s a stay at home mom and they’re on the verge of filing bankruptcy. I could go on for pages.

I’ve told him how much of a pussy he is for getting in this position and allowing this to happen. Long story short, next time I’ll say something.

This is happening to my friend right now. He’s completely pussy whipped because he thinks he won’t be able to do better( she does make good money as engineer) but she is so bad for him. All of our friend group agrees.
I’ve gotten drunk and told the girl multiple times I think she’s a bitch and ruining our friend. I’ve told her she’s a manipulative egotistical bitch. And I’ve even started saying it to her face sober.
He’s still up her butt, if he doesn’t care what I have to say and doesn’t talk to me anymore than I don’t want that pussy whipped bitch to be my friend.
Be a man, address the situation and then whatever happens happens. But don’t sit there and not say anything like a bitch

I spoke up when they first started dating and made it known how I felt from the very beginning that she wasnt right for him. I told him I would stomach her(she really was just awful to be around) as long as she didnt put me down in the process. Anytime she would come at me verbally and normally unprovoked I would have some choice words to shoot back immediately.

Things changed though when she took the kids from him the first time and moved back with her parents after they got married. My friend didnt deserve that.

Eventually just being around her was just too toxic and we had a very big verbal fight where I was saying way more than I should have. Me and my friend stopped seeing each other for almost a year. Their marriage imploded when she went bat shite crazy on him. She threw her wedding dress in a BBQ pit, lit it on fire, maxed out 2 credit cards, and took the kids again.

She then came back 3 weeks later after her temper tantrum wore off and found another woman in the house. She lost her mind again and was booked with an assault charge(dropped in divorce court for a favorable settlement)

I dont say this to pat myself on the back and say called it. I lost a year with my best friend. He went through hell and I dont know how I could have stopped him from doing it. Sometimes you cant and in all honesty maybe it would have been better to have this mindset and let the whole thing run its course and try to be there when he falls.

It is just tough. Whether it is your brother or a dear friend you just want good things for them.
