1981 Dodge step side truck. It had the 225 slant 6 with a manual transmission. The options were window vents, 2 6x9 speakers, and a saddle blanket seat cover.
I started driving in 1992 and was glad to have it. My dad paid $500 for it and I drove it for 3-4 years.

4x4 3 speed with granny gear 1981 Custom Deluxe with a AM radio farm truck. Had a wing in the window that was used as the AC.
My dad bought it with around 100,000 miles and kept it running for around 25 years.
Was able to drive it to school at 14, because we lived in the country and the closet police station was 20 miles away.

Cutlass supreme - not one of the cool ones.
White with crimson seats, t-tops.
I did put raised white Goodyears on it.
I’m not sure of the year 1980?

I hear these were legitimately reliable for their time.

89 Mustang. Originally with no cylinder in the trunk/hatchback, but it was easy to open with a screwdriver if you knew what you were doing. Eventually put a Sony deck in place of the secondhand hole in the dash as well as speakers in the empty speaker ports.
But on the streets, that thing was mean. 88hp 2.3L 4banger. The speedometer went to 85 and I almost made it all the way to it twice before the AC started blowing hot and everything started shaking.

1993 Toyota Paseo
I had a six disc changer in the trunk, cruise control and pop up sunroof thingy (didn't slide)
We had the car for about a year before it was "mine" as my family was trying to sell it since it belonged to my uncle by marriage's sister who was murdered in a bank robbery. Then they decided to buy it for me.
Started driving it in 1999.

Had to put one in mine. Scary cutting speaker holes.
Boston was the first cassette I played.

It was pretty reliable. The only issue was getting it started if you stopped for gas and the engine was warm. It took just the right amount of throttle to start. A little too much and it flooded . Other than that I didn’t have any problems.
It had the bright light switch on the floor which I always liked for some reason.

66 Mustang Fastback
- 260 Air Conditioning
Father's car, got totalled when I was 14.
Bought it from the insurance co and he gave it to me.
Had 140K miles on it then - 1975.
Originally was Burgandy.
I replaced all the front end parts, for the first year I drove it as a HS freshman it had a yellow front feeder, blue hood and other front end parts. Rusted out rear quarters.
I spent my money on the drivetrain: 302 block, ported/polished heads w larger valves, TRW pistons providing 11:1, Crower cam, long tubes, Edelbrock intake, Holley 750, dual point Mallory.
Had an C4 tranny, rebuilt it w hi-per clutches/bands and high stall converter.
Replaced the rear end gear w 3.73's.
It was a sleeper, won alot of races w it.
Sitting in my shop now.

My first vehicle (the one my dad let me drive in High School in 1985) - 1982 Toyota 4x4
First started driving 1980 (I was 11, and my brother taught me how to drive his 1972 VW Thing). Drove the truck on our farm long before I was old enough to get a permit or license.
The first vehicle that was actually mine...1972 VW Van
ETA...accessories - Toyota had a sliding rear window, AM/FM Radio and Rear Bumper
VW had nothing.

Late 70's Datsun 210 was my 1st car I drove consistenly around 1991 or so. Dad had a 80's CJ7 that was suppose to be handed down to me, but just before I got my license he traded it in for him a new truck
I hated that Datsun, I tried to destroy it as often as I could, it would not die. I got into the habit of not even using the clutch when shifting, it would not die. I still hate that car to this day.
Only drove it for a year to two and slowly started working my way up the ladder with small Mitsubishi and Toyota PU trucks.
