I'll readily admit that I have made some really bad financial choices. There was a period in college where I was terrible with money.
I’m with you. I didn’t run it up in college, it was right after. I let it get wild and carried about 14k for years. About 6 or 7 years ago I really sat down and made a plan to get it square and paid it all off and reevaluated how I use my cards. I got rid of some and got some new ones with better rewards.
My wife keeps wanting my to get a platinum Amex so she can use the lounge access but she travels more than I do. She goes on a trip each year with her daughter. I prefer to drive unless it is just a long drive.

Be proud of great credit score!
Simultaneously, if score is near top of possible range, you might want to ask yourself if you could extract more financial value with use of credit (ie, use other peoples money to make money).
Our goal was maximizing return vs best credit score.
Peace of mind aside

We usually charge between $2-4K a month, but pay it off monthly. No balance.

current statement is 3900

About 8k each month but it gets paid in full each month. Amex is simply a deferred debit card. We have all of our bills linked to it to help us accumulate points faster.
Whatever you spend, you pay it the next month in full.
My favorite Italian food is chicken piccata or chicken Bryan from Carrabbas

I use my card for everything. Generally it’s around $6k a month. Pay it off monthly

Only around $11K right now - I rolled the other $23K into my home refi a couple months ago.

About $1500 which will be paid off as soon as my expense report clears. I use my personal card for work travel to earn the points.

I pay it immediately as the charges hit. Can't stand a balance.

I use my CC for every transaction possible for the miles/points, which I use to stay in hotels for free.
I pay the balance in full every month.

4 to 5 thousand. I pay it off every month. I write few checks and have a few check drafts. My debts are largely charged on the card and then I pay them off. It makes it easy and easy to see where the money is being spent.
