The white collar environments are where people assume this stigma exists though.

I would say as recent as 4 or 5 years ago it did, but tons of people in the 25 and under crowd has them so it's quickly disappeared, especially as business casual has become more casual, etc.

Personally I still think it's dumb, but I don't judge them for it, and I wouldn't not hire someone for having tats. Id just judge them for spending money on shite I deem stupid.

It’s rampant among African Americans. Almost every one I teach has multiple tats. I’ve seen twelve year olds with multiple.

To me it’s not any different than asking, why do people have kids? They last forever and cost so much money, blah, blah, blah.

Different strokes for different folks.

I don’t do heroin, but my music collection is very happy others did.

I was listening to a comedian on SiriusXM a few days ago and he was talking about tattoos and the newer generation vs the older generation. This isn’t verbatim but he said his grandpa had 2 tattoos from the Army when he fought in WWII. One he got before he jumped out a plane that was his id # and the other he got as a POW from the Germans. Back then you had tattoos because you were military or just got out of jail. Now when he sees guys with sleeves of tattoos all over their body he wonders “are they lactose intolerant? Do they have a nut allergy? What level of hipster are they and how much avocado toast do they eat per week?”

I got a big kick out of that for some reason.

I'm gonna take that up as a hobby when I retire. The OT told me today that as long as I have a friend or two, I won't get addicted.

Almost 100% of college girls in sororities now have them so probably not near as high as you think... Though almost 100% of people that come from broken homes have them.

Practically every tattoo i've seen looks like a green, black and yellow fungal infection. No matter how bright and shiny they look when you first get them, they devolve into what looks like a gross skin condition.

Stahp, are you trying to make the LLotOT swoon?

You believe that white collar smoke he’s blowing up your arse. Even better, I don’t know anyone other than professional athletes or owners of their own business that have visible tats and make close to seven figures. I’m not talking 350 either.
