It’s just people who want to be edgy and unique. Some use it as a coping method. They’ll regret it eventually.

I’m 44 and it’s about the same percentage amount I’ve seen my entire life. I know they aren’t as cool as a sweet Magellan fishing shirt with a pair of cargo shorts and eyes hidden by Costa’s entry level sunglasses, but every single person can’t be that suave.

I think sleeves are attractive on men, TBH.

The SO has a sleeve and I like it.

Several of the other IT guys he works with also have sleeves. And they’re all making six figures. It definitely doesn’t hold the stigma that it used to, nor should it (outside of the obvious face/neck tattoos).

Bruh!!! Come on.

Who the frick cares. So many people have tattoos now days that trying to have an issue with it is pretty silly.

I bet if you walked into any store at any time, you would find that the majority had visible tattoos.

Do they have matching beards and artsy coffee cups with a quart of SILK in the mini fridge?

These nerds will never get it. They, by and large, have no love for art or self-expression. They all think they're their dad or John Wayne.

Why do they do it?

Because they can. Imagine caring about what someone else does.

I don’t have any, but it’s because I think I would look dumb with noticeable ones. I think sleeves can look badass and on some girls it is sexy.

Obviously I wouldn’t encourage someone who wants to be a VP at an accounting firm to get a sleeve or something wild, but most people who are tatted up are in a place where it obviously doesn’t affect their standing.

Practically every tattoo i've seen looks like a green, black and yellow fungal infection. No matter how bright and shiny they look when you first get them, they devolve into what looks like a gross skin condition.

Wouldn't if most people of a certain age having tattoos make the negative stigma of having tattoos go away?

I don't have any and I think they are stupid, especially when you factor in their costs, but I don't really give a shite as long as you don't have a teardrop or a swastika on your neck.

People are more open minded these days. Almost all of my friends have tattoos.

That's because tattoos have become ordinary.

There's plenty of people at my firm that have several visible tattoos, some making close to seven figs. Only the really old school guys that are about to be forced to retire you can tell give a shite.

All tattoos are awful

Even “meaningful” ones

Yeah I have no idea, I work in construction so almost every baw I work with has one. The white collar environments are where people assume this stigma exists though.
