Jesus H Christ.

I once got my leg caught in some hydraulics. It twisted it almost until it broke before they got it stopped. Hurt like you can’t believe. I barely made a peep.

I weep for the future.

55 years ago Boomer dude was walking point in the Ah Shau Valley. Now he's babysitting kids scared of cardboard boxes.

I did that for almost 3 years at the store in Covington after Katrina, I don’t understand his problem. I will tell you those harnesses work because one night I fell off an order picker a just hung around before someone heard me.

When I was 15 in 1985 I had a commercial license to drive and operate a big National truck/crane.

That said, I don't believe this "kid" here is the norm, he's just coddled.

Meanwhile I have to stop my 3 year old son from building a stack of books to climb onto the counter and onto the refrigerator and jumping off with the candy bowl

I think this guy had proven himself thoroughly worthless before this, judging from everyone else in the video.

You really gotta let your sons get out there and muck it up. They need to climb trees and ride bikes off ramps and stuff. A boy of his age should consider something like this task kind of fun the first time.

The old guy trying to help made it worse. The lift machine has a sensor on it. If anyone on the ground gets near it cuts the motor so they can't get hit by the platform.

I saw the video on Reddit earlier. Someone commented that the box weighed a 100 lbs. according to the Lowes website. Any able bodied young adult male should be able to handle that with ease.

I don't understand why he didn't push the box on the shelf that he stopped at if he was so scared.

Yes I learned that too from the old guy. He says it when he immediately realizes it. He went there because the kid was frantic and begging him to. The kid was acting like he was gonna die. The old guy probably had a thought to try to jump up there and push the button just to end this nonsense.
