lol everyone loves DC in their 20s. Then they all went to get the hell out of there. But I agree with you that it was amazing for a while.

I love going home, my mom still lives in the home I was raised in with my name in wooden letters on my bedroom door.

I Love Louisiana.

If only that were possible. My parents live in BR still. If they didn't I'd never go back.

My fiancee is from there. That's where most of these complaints are coming from.

So you're judging the state based on one city?

Now that I relocated my parents near me....I honestly do not see myself going back to visit BR for a really long time.

No. I'm starting a thread to piss people off based on one city. And Baton Rouge. And everywhere else I've visited there.

Hmmmm.... What should I do today. I know, go to a Louisiana and LSU based board and bash the entire state. Yeah, that's a good one.

GFY. Don't need you, don't want you.

8) The fattest collection of white people anywhere on Earth. I am astounded by how disgustingly obese people have gotten every time I go home. Do they sit in the air conditioning and inhale cheeseburgers all day?

Hey. That's a little mean. Let's stick to the issues like poverty, crime and unemployment.

busted for no insurance.

Louisiana is one of the top 5 states with the most expensive car insurance costs.

Ex: My dad has Allstate. They paid out his claim on his flooded truck in LA. He bought a used(but newer than his previous truck) minivan here in AZ. Even though they had already paid out a claim on his policy...his current full coverage policy is still over $50/month cheaper than the policy he had in LA.

Honestly, I find this shocking every time I go back to Louisiana. It's why I laugh every time I see posters on this board talk about how good looking the women in Louisiana are. They must all be talking about an extremely limited subset of 18-20 year old women, because I mainly see a lot of fatties when I visit.

C'mon..what?! I'll take you guys around, USS Kidd Tour, and there's a pretty nice hiking trail around Perkins/Kenilworth, it might be a little flat, but I guarantee you'll sweat.

Boredom and dissatisfaction with everything might be a sign of low intelligence.

I think Louisiana is pretty damn awesome.

I wasn't exaggerating either, at least once every trip home I am legit shocked at the white land whales around me.

And, if I can defend the state I grew up in some small fashion, it really wasn't like that when I was younger
