A 100,000 car. Then sell it. Then buy 3 modestly priced cars.

This right here.... is the OT in a nutshell.

Cars are not assets.. They are liabilities.

You would buy the 100k car and then what??? Sell it for $80,000? Smart.

Then you buy 3 cars for $80,000, and what do you do with 3 cars? Sell 2 of them for $20,000 each?? (being generous here)

Nice moves, you just turned $100,000 in to $40k and a Civic..............................................................................................................................

I don't know why I get so worked up watching all of you financial gurus waste your lives away.... but I do.

I think I'm starting to suffer from rich guilt.... FFS people, get your shite together.

Second year out from debut, Toyota Camry TRD. Alfa-Romeo Giulia Ti, and something very old as a daily driver.

I bought my 1965 Mustang Shelby GT350 for $10,000 in 1988. Today , I would not sell it to anyone here who is wanting a $100K car.

Some cars are assets.

Ah crap, I misread... 86.4 is for the base model, that's for poors.

I change my pick to an RS5 sportback.

[quote]They aren't making any more 1966 Shelby GT350s. As it stands the insured value is $151K. Not bad for a $10K investment I made when I was 17{/quote]

Hog, this car year seems to change every so often, sometimes in the same thread. Maybe you have two of them...???
