I drink Heineken. Two grams of protein per bottle. A twelve pack is a full meal protein wise.

Sometimes I can eat two meals if I’m thirsty.

I did keto before my wedding 5 years ago and cut out all beer. I could drink Miller lite all day and night before that.

Since that damn diet, if i drink more than a few lite beers I feel swollen and fat for a few days after. So I rarely drink them, period. I'll have 2 or 3 Mexican lagers and feel ok but it's mostly whiskey and wine these days. No clue what happened during that diet.

I drink a little less than a case ever night. Probably 20 or so. Never feel bloated

I’m the same way. One or two beers and I’m bloated. Which is what it really is. You’re bloated.

You could have GERD issues, indigestion, or an alcohol intolerance.

Pretty sure my alcohol limitations are connected to my GERD issues. I actually haven’t had a drink in three years and before that, I was having maybe a glass of wine or a small glass of bourbon once every couple of months. I got tired of feeling like shite after one drink. Beer was always the worst.

You remember you freaked out, made a gigantic human spectacle of yourself about covid and started screaming at everybody to mask up? I remember:.

You’ve probably gotten a bunch of “woman” and “gay” responses from guys that think they are macho and manly but are actually just alcoholics.

ETA: on cue first few posts lol

Guinness. No carbonation. It's the carbonation that makes you feel bloated. In fact, I never burp when drinking Guinness. It does create some very noxious gas though

Is it for the buzz? If so, why not drink whiskey instead? If it’s the buzz you’re after, distilled spirits are much more efficient.
Not trying to be an advocate for getting buzzed, but, yes, I like to get buzzed. I also enjoy drinking, period (as in actively drinking). With beer, not only do I enjoy the taste better, but it takes a pretty conscious effort to get drunk. With liquor, one or two too many drinks can mess up your night.

Nothing to do with efficiency.

Has to do with your daily diet.

As someone who has “cut carbs” but still drinks beers. If I have a cheat day and eat anything with carbs, I can maybe drink 2 beers.

This is from someone who lost 50 pounds but me and the bride will still put down a case of beer in an afternoon once, if not twice a week

I much prefer drinking beer these days because it’s way easier to pace yourself and keep it under control. Getting into hard liquor sometimes gets a little too crazy

I am 52 and 2 beers make me feel bloated as hell with no buzz! 10 plus years ago a case of beer was a piece of cake. Now as a mature adult I only drink whiskey/Bourbon.
