Once a certain country gets you under their thumb, all that DOGE talk goes right out the window.
How about another $200 billion?
And I voted for this.

Ain’t social security the biggest expense? Just cut it and call it a loss. Old people should have saved 401k and pensions and not solely rely on govt handouts right?
It’s not handouts if you paid into the system. It’s your f’n money dumbass.

I mean as long as you’re ok with deficit going up year after year and ruining the country I guess that’s fine.

That’s not the same thing as the debt and I’d argue tax cuts are only making the situation vastly worse. Yes spending is the problem (muh poor people just being a slice of it, cut Medicare and Social Security and the military as well), but not paying your bills for money already spent and instead just charging it to your kids credit card is making our debt explode

They know it is a failure of a program.
They know it is detrimental and destructive to the future of our country.
But they have to get theirs, future generations be damned.
The only explanation I can see for this is the individuals so adamant about receiving SS planned so poorly that their future depends on its existence.

Right, it's the Jooos and Israel that have a real interest in preserving spending like this:
quote:
$22,600,000,000 (HHS) – Aiding illegal migrants through resettlement programs, home and car purchases, and loans
$7,500,000,000 (DOT) – Funding a few dozen electric vehicle stations across the nation
$7,000,000,000 (EPA) – Funding green energy projects that reduce greenhouse gases and promoting the adoption of green alternatives nationwide
$5,000,000,000 (EPA) - Funding green energy projects that reduce gas emissions and supporting green banks
$2,000,000,000 (EPA) – Funding projects to decarbonize American housing to reduce greenhouse gas emissions

I have no problem killing it, but those that have paid in should get their contributions back once that decision is made.

It’s a self perpetuating disaster that can’t be stopped until it implodes.
Ronnie started it in the 1980 election
Jimmy told the painful truth
Ronnie rambled and made empty promises
Ronnie won and went on historic debt loads not seen since WW II debt.
Since then EVERY POTUS (both D & R - save 1 year of Clintons 8) have added and pushed it forward.

Another lockbox believer. There is no way to make sure I get back my decades worth of "contributions" back without ... drumroll... taking it from my kids and your kids as they enter the workforce.

This bankrupts America faster than keeping it. Whats your choice
1. Keep it and die slow
2. Kill it with refunds die now
3. Kill it no refund chance to survive

The ONLY way you can “get yours” is by screwing over all the generations after you by demanding that they support you.
So, take your pick.
1. Continue to screw over all those younger than you so you can get yours, or
2. Man up and act like an older generation is supposed to.

66% of the budget is entitlements (Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid) then the military budget and interest on the debt makes up another 25%.
At this point you have 90% of the budget.
