I would have an indoor jungle room. Plants, trees, running water, birds, etc.

Then in the middle I would have a little hut.

There, I would journey to all the hard to reach places of the mind.

I'd have a room for detailed cities as with model railroad setups.

Rod Stewart's layout:

my dad spent my college savings on a garden railroad. no joke. sunk well over $30-40k into it.

it was actually really beautiful, but he let it go in his old age. when we go back, my youngest always wants to start working on it, but it's a bit of a sore spot for me.

my parents didn't pay for my school, but did my older sister's. i asked why, and they said, we figured out you were independent and could make your own way pretty early on. we knew we could throw you to the wolves and you would come out fine. your sister couldn't.

ironically, they were right. didn't exactly foster a good relationship with them later on.

to the OP,

i'd build out a kickass library and bar with a bunch of globes and maps, smoking chair, etc.

I'd have a room kind of like a dome shaped planetarium but it'll be Google Earth with control sticks at my reach so I can "fly around" the world on Google Earth immersed in a global virtual reality without the goggles.

Edit. I would definitely want to play video games in this environment as well.

Freshwater planted

Mixed reef

Each will be at least 8 feet long.

My wife would have a Christmas room. I would combine an antique book and medieval artifact room.

Golf simulator

This with absurd tech and decoration. The lighting would mimic outdoors on a sunny day somehow, I'd have wind machines, fake crowd noises, everything. Ground would be unbelievably realistic turf.

I guess I would have a hybrid of an arcade and a vintage computer room.

A number good games from older systems aren’t readily playable on modern PCs or consoles for various reasons so I wouldn’t mind having a setups for an Atari 800XL, a Commodore 64, a TI 99 4A, Apple II, etc, in there in addition to arcade games.

As far as the arcade games go, the only definites are Tron and Tron Deadly Discs.

A lot of the 90s beat em ups like X-Men, Captain America And The Avengers, and Spider-Man would definitely be considered.
