No brainer if that's the case. I live 73 miles from Tiger Stadium. If you live in New Orleans or Baton Rouge you would have access to the other.

75 miles is way too big unless you live in Los Angeles or some other sprawling metro.. It's the city or town you live in. If you live in a place like denham springs that's close enough to Baton Rouge then sure I'll throw in the Red Stick with offer.
So if you live in a subburb and regularly commute to the city (and tell people you are from the city) then that counts as living in the city

Maybe. Another way to do it, in my mind, is - if you're in the NE, an hour on the train, one way, and if you're in flyover country or on the west coast, an hour in the car.
I think that is reasonable. If you're sticking with a rigid definition of town and folks from Bunkie can't go to Marksville or Alexandria, I think that is too artificial and a poor hypothetical.
