I’d think you have to be a little mentally unstable to volunteer to go somewhere that you’ll get shot at

A Celtic Cross. I don't even remember why I choose that

I've always thought people with tattoos were just attention whores, like people who put stickers on their car. Like they have to let everyone know what they're in to, as if anyone cares.
But then I had a dream a few months ago during a midday nap where I had a tattoo and really liked it. It was just my initials in a cool font on my inner bicep, but for some reason it meant a lot to me. I woke up and looked for the tattoo and it wasn't there, and I was honestly disappointed. I understood tattoos better after that dream.

The only people that even know I have tattoos are close family and a couple of friends.

Absolutely reeks of insecurity.

Even higher correlation between tattoos and regret.

All the people arguing with the OP based on their career or income are doing no good. There are mentally ill lawyers and mentally ill millionaires.
While it’s not a significant as the OP suggests, some research has shown that those with tattoos have a higher likelihood of antisocial personality disorder or borderline personality disorder.

A good friend of mine from HS is covered in tattoos I see him a maybe a few times a year nowadays, probably less. Always has been an IDGAF type of guy in his whole lifestyle and always popular you could say.
A few years ago out of nowhere we were out in Nola and he was there, he started freaking out saying he knew we thought less of him because he was covered in tattoos. Nobody was treating him differently or anything. Truly was out of nowhere.
So I would say if this guy was that insecure about it, almost anyone covered in tats would be. Really out of character for him to be insecure.

Yes by insecure people who want to call people trashy to make them feel better about themselves. I frequent a wide variety of message boards and have never encountered one so obcessed with wondering what is trashy and what isn't. I can only guess it is a combination of insecurity and immaturity. It's pretty sad and pathetic.

If they are "active duty", then they are not "veterans" so get the nomenclature straight, idiot.
And every single population, no matter how you define it, has a large portion of trashy people in it. Simply joining the military doesn't cleanse someone of his or her decision to be human debris. A lot of them use what they learn in the military to fix that, but not everyone does.

I wouldn't get worked up about it. I'm fine with my tattoos and if someone else thinks they're trashy I don't really give a shite. Everyone does something that someone else thinks is trashy.

I am always curious about people who say that shite. They probably protesting the NFL because players and kneeling and "disrespecting our military", but thinks they are all trash.

Good call. I don't have any tattoos, and don't give two shits if you do if you're a decent person, respect those around you, and take care of your family. Unfortunately, many many people who aren't decent and don't respect those around them and don't take care of their family have tattoos.

Please explain how having a tattoo generally makes a person a trashy
Spending money on something that has no material positive effect on your life and can never be considered an investment is the definition of trashy. Tattoos and cigarettes are baseline trashy.
Doesn’t make you a bad person whatsoever. Being trashy isn’t a sin.

But tattoos in general are pretty non-taboo these days. OP needs to hang with less trashy people.
I'm waiting for all these people that haven't gotten really old yet. Don't see too many people of my parents generation tatted up like you see today. Especially women, going to be gross.
