Most, if not all, tattoos are dumb.

Also, do poor people have tattoos because they are less-educated, or are they poor because they spend all of their money on tattoos? Chicken or the egg kind of thing.

No one is poor because they spent 3k on tattoos. You were already poor before the tattoo if you are poor after the tattoo.

Not sure about mental instability, but a lack of critical thinking and decision making skills.

Three people I know right off the top of my head with tattoos:

- An IT Security guy making 6 figures at a Fortune 500 company.

- A school psychologist.

- A Mom with two kids at Ivy League schools and running a major non-profit here in the city.

All are super stable and are doing pretty well for themselves.

Now if you want to debate the placement of tattoos, like the neck and face, then we can probably have a decent discussion. But tattoos in general are pretty non-taboo these days. OP needs to hang with less trashy people.

Was going to post the same thing. You probably know several people with tattoos that you would never expect to have them. I have tatts but you wouldn't know it just by working with or hanging out with me. They don't have any adverse impact on my life so I don't think it's automatically poor decision making.

I have one on my back shoulder. I got it when I was 17. I don't care that it's there and never plan on having it removed.

The only people that really ever see me walking around shirtless are my wife, kid or on the occasional beach trip

A Celtic Cross. I don't even remember why I choose that (again I was 17).

I have a few more but same deal. A short sleeved shirt covers them up. Some of mine aren't things I would choose today but I don't really care.

Being closed minded and judgemental is probably a sign of Mental Instability tho'.

Being unable to make a judgment is much more mentally troubling.

Nothing wrong with forming a judgment that in our culture tattoos are generally trashy.

Please explain how having a tattoo generally makes a person a trashy ofr bad person you dumb frick. If a person that you view(not that the view of an ignorant person like you carries any weight) as a classy/good person gets a tattoo does that turn them into a trashy/ shitty person?

I have a JD and certainly work in a professional environment. I have tattoos.

The desire to get a tat doesn't keep me hanging on. I am married and have work and family responsibilities. They keep me moving.

I have tattoos because I like them and had the money. I'd think I was more mentally unstable if I wanted a tattoo but didn't because of some weird preconception about the social meaning of tattoos.

I get that. The SO has few but they’re meaningful to him.

Yeah, I don't have any tribals or barbed wire or anything like that. All of mine were meaningful to me, at least at the time I got them.
