Ever since covid, they changed the rules where you have to make an appointment to swim for only one hour and it had to be in the lap pool. Before I could sign just my son up to be a member for $30, now I have to be a member to join him since he is a minor and I have to spend $75 a month. No, I’m not a OTballer with a swimming pool at the house but I miss the old days before covid when we could go to a swimming pool and swim for as long as we wanted.

I wouldn’t pay 75.00 a month to take him somewhere to only be able to swim for an hour
Get a cheap above ground pool & take it down at the end of the summer

I heard the our local YMCA has gone ultra woke. Lifeguards are now called Water Watchers. They can't find anyone to put up with there bs.

Just swim in your own pool instead of going there.

I obviously have no knowledge of the relative wokeness of your local YMCA, but were those two sentences intended to be related?

There's nothing like having a nice clean lane to swim in without having to share it with a hippo. The COVID restrictions were great imo.

Make sure to wear your goggles if you're getting in the pool. You don't want the dead skin, poop and pee particles going in your eyes.

We were barely able to use the outdoor pool at our Y last summer. I assumed it was because they were having trouble finding workers like everyone else. We'll see if it's any better this summer.

I was a lifeguard at the YMCA in high school. I once saved a black woman that fell off her noodle in the deep end. Her whole family showed up the next day with the best fried chicken I’ve ever eaten in my life to thank me. And I mean the whole family. Aunts, grandma, all the chirren. Everyone

CSB I know.

So, he's swimming laps for an hour? Kid's got to be in great shape.
