You’d think Disney land opened a theme park in their hometown the way some people on here react to getting a whataburger or an oversized gas station with average gas station food

Someone really needs to explain just what these fabled 'beaver nuggets' are before I get impatient and google it for myself.

I miss the good days of truck stops where you go inside while someone fills your truck up and sit at the diner and order a bud light while some guy cooks you a gigantic grease burger on a grill that hasn’t been cleaned in 30 years. Afterward you get a BJ from a truck stop hooker for 20 bucks

i agree. i prefer an RaceWay, especially the one's that sell day old pizza and i have to ask for a key to open the pisser out back behind the gas station itself.
Hey that's culture, that's what makes Louisiana so special - t' OT

And the key is connected to a brick so you can’t lose it.
Those were the days.

Got a gig in Pell City this weekend. Gonna stop and check it out on the way?

Do truck stop diners even exist anymore?

There fewer and farther between, but still out there. A lot of Petro truck stops still have diners inside them.

Their brisket sandwich w/ pickles and onions are insanely good
If "insanely good" means passable for brisket while on the road and eating at a truck stop, I agree

Taste like small crunchy pieces of pancake with maple syrup on them

If Bucees or Whataburger were homegrown Louisiana brands, for a while they'd be the best thing ever on this board, and anyone who disagreed would be a trashy moron.
When they became too well liked, the LA contrarian gene would come out and both would be overrated garbage that was better x years ago.

wish they would build one between Montgomery and Atlanta or Atlanta and the SC state line.
Buccess is a good place. Cheap gas, pristine restrooms, decent food, cheerful employees, and almost never a check out line.. Not sure why anyone would not like it.

Somewhere between Birmingham and Montgomery would be great. Like Prattville. We always are deciding if we want to stop in Prattville or make it through Montgomery first on our trips south. All the people that live north of Montgomery would love it. And 65 is so heavily travelled that it would be a great place for one. We tried the one near Gulf Shores a couple years ago after it opened. I’m still wondering why they chose Leeds as the second location.

Let’s pump the brakes there baw. If you mean insanely good for a gas station ok but if that’s the best brisket sandwich you’ve ever had maybe you should get out more.

their homemade potato chips are the best deal in the store. Find the under the heat lamp with the bbq sandwiches.

Can’t beat the Ridiculously Cheap Ice too. Someone suggested trying the Boudin Kolache.. it was surprisingly good.
