Just found out the GF of my BIL got T-boned last night and totaled her car. She is OK…BIL’s dog nipped his nose this morning when they were wrestling and they are going to Urgent Care because of it.
If I were them, I wouldn’t leave the house today.

Happy Thanksgiving all, going to my wife’s brothers for lunch. Everyone gets along fine. My wife’s stepmom has two brothers who are weirdos though. They talk too loud and too close. They chain smoke too and I swear they are on the spectrum. I’m a Cowboys fan so they always talk about the Cowgirls playing until it’s too much. Dinner at my parents tonight, my brothers and their kids who are all getting big, we have long outgrown my parents house but it is what it is. My wife already suggested going out of town next Thanksgiving since we eat the same meal twice in a day then on Christmas????

New puppy just pee'd in kitchen for 3rd time this morning. Having 30+ over and wife has been on a tear for 3 days prepping and cleaning. She didnt want new puppy, dog is now banished outside. Wife just poured a mimosa

I used to hunt but now mostly just fish. I know people like what you are describing. They don’t watch any sports, fish, or have any other hobbies. All year if they aren’t hunting they are prepping to hunt (planting food plots, cutting shooting lanes, etc.). I always found it odd to only have one interest in life.

When I was in high school, my extended family would always come to New Orleans for thanksgiving. My trashy arse cousin who recently dropped out of college and was working at a scrap yard, decided it would be a great idea to roll a couple joints in our back room while the family was hanging out in the living room. Needless to say, the entire house started smelling like weed. My aunt, his mother, stormed back there and bitched him out to no end, and flushed all his pot down the toilet. He was so pissed and stormed off (presumably to bourbon street). We wake up the next morning on Thanksgiving Day. He rolls out of one of the guest rooms with what we assume was a prostitute. Everyone was so appalled, and then he had the audacity to ask if she can stay for thanksgiving lunch. The entire family was so mad, but my 80 year old grandfather was loving every minute of it.

Oh and my FIL absolutely hates the NFL because of all that kneeling nonsense. So it is always my aim to have the game on when we are there just to see his reaction. Inevitably he will start talking crap about the NFL and I laugh the whole time and blame someone else for turning it on. Good times
