Does Grace’s statement really apply to Barry Manilow?

Barry should stick to his sappy love songs. That’s what he does best

There are only two reasons for a celebrity entertainer to keep performing at this age.
1. They truly love what they are doing & are going to do it until they can’t walk
2. They made horrible decisions with their money & have to continue performing.

I watched his concert on TV not long ago, and I gotta admit, it was pretty damn good considering his age

Hand to god, I thought Manilow was dead. I saw Priscilla Presley’s name in the news yesterday….i thought she was dead, too.

You say that but 67 year old Donny Osmond does a very energetic show in Vegas. His shows are packed.

He's having fun. How dare he?

And it was impressive. How many 80+ year olds can dance across a stage on time with backup dancers?

Her name was Lola, she was a showgirl…

If they are still pulling down six or seven figures a year, why should they hang it up? If fans still buy tickets and show up, and you love what you do, frick what everyone else says.

Old Frankie Vallie is 90
Well he ain’t exactly dancing.
Or singing really for that matter.
But he’s still out there paying Tommy’s gambling debts.

The last time I saw Gatemouth Brown perform he had to sit in a chair and had an oxygen bottle hooked up to him. And he was badass. I guess it just depends on how you handle things.

KC and his Sunshine Band still perform and he’s 74. Huge and sweating like a hooker on nickel night but singing and dancing.
