Who does yard work in tennis shoes?

Georgia boots Farm and Ranch (waterproof)

Long pants/ No shorts

Be a man

A "man" don't need a boot to walk around his yard.

In the nearly 40 years I have been an adult I have never bought a pair of yard shoes. I just keep my old tennis shoes in the drawer in the mudroom and use the oldest pair until they fail and go to the next ones. I do have a pair of old trail running shoes with aggressive Vibram soles I keep for when I need more traction and they are waterproof but unless it is winter (we get a taste of real winter here) I normally don't care if my feet get wet in the yard. When I am finished I use the hose to spray them off and pull of the insoles and give them a good wash inside and set them on the corner of my patio that gets full sun and throw them back in the drawer the next evening when they are dry.

I guess it is possible that some people don't wear any sort of tennis/running shoes if so I would just buy the cheapest pair of tennis shoes I could find. I don't need a heavy/hot boot to work in my yard because it is suburbia not the back 40.

Old shoes or boots like any normal human being does. People actually buy new shite just to do outside yard work?

This. When my current pair of asics/brooks/nike gym shoes wear out they become yard shoes. I keep a pair on the front porch and back porch. Why spend even more money when 3 chicken breasts cost $14 nowadays.

I traded somebody Air Jordan slides for some generic Crocs in rehab eight years ago.

Those Crocs are indestructible. Convenient to slip on when I bring the dogs outside to use the bathroom.

Who would do yard work in Crocs? Your feet would get disgusting and so much room for dirt, grass, bugs, etc to work their way in.

Just use old tennis/running shoes whatever.

Just go to Walmart and buy the cheapest pair of "sneakers" you can find (<$20) that fit. Hose them down after you finish each day and let them dry out of the sun. They'll last a season.

You aren't wearing Crocs for real yard WORK, unless you consider yardWORK no more effort that blowing leaves off your driveway.

I wanted a pair of "camp shoes" and was looking around on Amazon....Found these trail shoes and tried a pair. I have to say they're comfortable as hell. Great traction....Ordered another pair.
Sold under the names "Kricely" and "Ikuna". Several color schemes available....

This. "Yard shoes" just means "old tennis shoes."
