I have family in Venezuela who had 5 restaurants taken from them over the years.
So, yeah, there are some things to fear from government.
Roger Stone and Paul Manafort probably fear government. Not saying they are innocent but 5 AM guns drawn raids and solitary confinement for inflating the value of assets for a loan should be feared.

When "they" know everything about you, then it won't be a big shootout in the street, and you won't known when it's the right time to passively escape. They'll know how to target and suppress in the correct ways to limit any resistance to prevent a hellfire shootout and/or to prevent you from leaving.
