It seems that WWL Radio is finally getting it...

So far this week Scoot, Newell Normand and now Tommy Tucker have all called her out.

She’s on my Mount Rushmore of worst mayors of all time in America

so I guess Old Metairie all of Jefferson Parish is New Orleans.

It is 100% considered a part of the New Orleans metro region. Basically like any other big city.

Anyways. If someone ask me where I live I tell them New Orleans because that’s where I live

For how much longer???

Anyway, circa 21st century, the yat culture upon which "Nawlins" is based is much more based in Jefferson, Plaquemines, St Bernard. Hell. Mandeville might be more yat New Orleans than Orleans Parish nowadays (I understand this primarily relateds to the longterm white "yat" culture than to black NO culture which is still largely based in Orleans but is slowly filtering into surrounding parishes as well)

I get that but what I’m saying is that people that live in Laplace only say they live in New Orleans when it’s cool and convenient otherwise they will just say it’s a cool place to visit but would never live there?

I think I get your point, but it would be the difference between talking to someone familiar with South La vs. someone who's not. If talking to someone familiar with the area there's no chance in hell I'd claim NO. That said, someone in Massachusetts who knows nothing else about La would have no idea where Metairie is.

Kind of like someone from Sandy Springs saying they are from Atlanta.

And absolutely no one looks down on people from Sandy Springs (or Decatur, Brookhaven, etc.) because they live an area that was never annexed to the City of Atlanta.

There just isn't anything analogous to Orleans Parish fetishism in the vast majority of urban areas.

Yup. Everything you love about New Orleans moved out in 1989.

And yet this stupendously incompetent corrupt boob will be reelected likely without a challenger. Naturally Nawlins'!

No, they don't. They voted for her. And she'll probably get re-elected. Elections have consequences.

Except for Newell Normand’s show WWL is mostly unlistenable, so it’s telling that a liberal station, a powerhouse in radio, is attacking a liberal mayor. Regardless, this attack won’t draw LaToya out because we all know she won’t be bullied!

i just have to say i LOATHE this kind of "logic"

it's the same sort of stuff you hear from 24 year old single mothers of 3 kids (by 3 guys) who have 480 credit scores, 8 lbs of trash in their car, and 3 curbed rims. "omg i'm such a mess!"
