Honestly, what was the last PLE that delivered?

Last years elimination chamber with the Cena heel turn. But then it was followed by one of the weakest WMs (and WM builds) in recent history and an absolutely HORRIBLE Cena storyline that quite frankly ruined his retirement tour. So it was a very short lived delivery. Prior to that? WM XL was the last “oh shite” PLE that garnered worthwhile buzz and actually set the table for future programming with some follow through

Not a very inspiring start with the first PLE of the year. Any time HHH promises surprises, expect disappointment. He's good at delivering on that.

Im not a weekly watcher but have tuned into the big PPVs for years. Kept a peacock subscription just for that and it kept me in the loop. Royal Rumble is my favorite but the entrants plus the Saudia Arabian aspect really put a damper on it. Worse audience ever. Do we not have but a hand full of stars anymore? Most of whats coming up through the ranks are just athletic vanilla with no personality

I don't understand why LA Knight doesn't get the Jey Uso push. The crowd is very responsive to him but he never ascends

I thought Summerslam was pretty good last year. Money in the bank was pretty good. Since August it felt very blah though.

Roman wins lol. WWE has no stars because it’s scared to make them. Bron should have gone over, and then crush Punk at Mania. That’s how you make a star.

Dude’s been over for three straight years despite never winning anything of consequence and being bypassed for guys like Damian Priest and Jey Uso. I have no idea why they refuse to pull the trigger on him. He seems like exactly the type of wrestler WWE has always coveted.

Dude was over and is STILL over.

But HHH and creative are too busy absolutely inhaling 100% their own farts to see that.

They know he's over, they just don't like him personally. He might still have a little heat backstage for refusing the Max Dupri gimmick too. HHH openly hates the fans and I think books certain things just to spite them. LA Knight could be an example of that.

I truly believe if WWE actually felt threatened, like during the Monday Night Wars, Knight would've won a world title a year ago. They know he's popular because they always use him to generate heat for their pushed heels. But because they have all that guaranteed money now, they can just recycle their same handful of favorites over and over no matter how bored the crowd gets with it.

Just finished Rumble last night so read through this thread. Agree with most of what is stated here except the posts about Gunther. The guy is awesome and plays a great heel. The hate heat is white hot on him right now and he is one of the few that can really lean into it and feed it.

Feels like creative is stuck right now so let's recycle Roman and push him again.

Oh, and, Whoop That Trick!
