It's a look for uncultured swine and just further proof of society's degradation.

Its just a continuation of the trend of people going out of their way to dress down at occasions that call for dressing up. It started as a way for young people to give a middle finger to their community, and has grown into billionaires thinking dressing like a slob makes them extra cool.

Its every part of society now. Men dress like theyre on the golf course, women dress like theyre at the gym. Its pathetic. Going to worship God? Lets dress up like we are playing frisbee golf. Going to a nice restaurant? Keep your shirt untucked, making an effort to look nice is for try hards.

Eh, the slide in people dressing appropriately for an occasion mirrors the slide in culture as a whole.

I don't care what anyone else wears, but I agree with you that it looks stupid.

I’m not a fan, but I’m able to accept it as a trend and not think the person is poorly or inappropriately dressed. I have the same feeling about women wearing sneakers with dresses.

Caught hell six months ago when I wondered no one wore a suit or coat to a funeral. The women all dressed appropriately, wearing dresses. But the dudes, blue jeans and shirts.

I don't like the sneaker look BUT I've a few friends that tell me these wingtip sneakers are VERY comfortable. I get it. Really do. I just can't wear those shoes.

Is this not a “who cares what other men wear?” thing because it’s not about cargo shorts?

First of all the three-piece suit is aggressive by itself. If you don't have at least some greys, don't wear it. Skinny young guys look ridiculous, like they're trying too hard.

Sneakers with suits are absolutely absurd and people who do it are idiots. Can you not afford a dress shoe? Do you just not respect the deceased or the betrothed? Are you so self-important that you need to call the attention to yourself over the deceased or betrothed? Or are you just dumb enough to thing that Nikes are the only way to be "comfy"?

Either way nothing says "couch potato" more than someone who wears sneakers at inappropriate times. It does not help your cool image or convince people you are athletic.

Unless you are Mark Summers hosting Double Dare.

Honorable mentions also might include the Rolling Stones or Huey Lewis, maybe some other rockers or hollywood types.
