Although this is a joke, this is probably the right course of action. Conservative nutjobs will chalk it up as some rights violation, but the government has a right to protect the people. Last thing we need is gun-toting Jimbob to shoot someone while drunk and valuable resources are wasted. Put down the bottle and stay your arse home, listen to the government for Pete's sake.

In reality what you have are a bunch of folks getting stuck at home, with money issues from the loss of work/revenue happening now.
The old lady fires up the complaining machine, Joe Dirt consumes a few more totties or cold ones and decides he's had enough of her chit. WAA-LAH....local popo get's a call for domestic disturbance at the OK Corral trailer park.
Now think of this happening on a much , MUCH larger scale than normal and you have police resources overwhelmed while REAL crime happens elsewhere.
At least thats what I'm getting out of this move.
