You will save a whole lot more than that, if used for the first 4 months. Didn’t have disposables when I had my first two.

I remember before having my son, I went out and bought the big box of Pampers from Walmart, thinking I was a genius and they were going to last forever.

A week later I was buying another supersize box and realizing how screwed I was.

Cloth diapers suck. But if your baby has a sensitivity to the paper diapers, then you will do whatever it takes to make them comfortable. It's rare, but I've seen babies that were raw in their crotch because of a reaction to the diaper.

What sucks about disposable diapers is that you start off buying newborn size, which is like 200 diapers for ten bucks. But by the time you're finished you will be buying a size 6 and those are like a buck a shot. Not really, but it feels that way.

I seem to remember spending like $250 per month on diapers for 2 kids.

I never came close to that when both of my kids were in diapers. Little man is off diapers now. It's great. Just about 12-15 more months for the daughter to be on diapers and she is done forever

For a newborn you can get pampers for about .20 eachon average. Sometimes less if you know how to find deals. That's about $60-70 a month just for a newborn and that only goes down each month. As they get older the diapers start to cost more but still under .30 each. So I'm not sure how much a diaper service costs or what the advantage is in general but it's fricking sick to me. Throw the shite away. It's too easy to throw a diaper away. You can even buy generic diapers for less than that if you wanna spend even less.

Cheaper, maybe, but not worth the mess. When my first was born 18 years ago, we used pamper/huggies etc. but we changed real quick to Wally world brand and they worked great. Every one of mine since has used those. They're about 25% cheaper.

Just hit him with a belt if he shits/pees himself. No diapers needed, he can use the toilet

Theu are something poor people tried to make popular awhile ago. Sorry but saving 20 dollars a month isn't worth carrying around bags of shitty clothes every time I want to take my kid somewhere.

We used cloth for the first two kids when they were under 6 months. We got used to it and it was the routine. No big deal.

We were indeed just scraping by, but we were loving life. My wife stayed home to raise the kids while I worked 2 jobs. It’s been 18 years since then, so I don’t recall how much we saved but it seemed like a lot. Over $50/month.

I can't believe so many here seem to not know what cloth diapers are or that they are weird or something. Disposable diapers are relatively new. They weren't really around until the 1970's.

You also need the rubber underwear to go with it.

My wife and I did it for our first when we were both in grad school and poor. It sucked. It was disgusting. Constantly spraying shite out of diapers into the toilet, you can imagine how often you slip up and it sprays shite water somewhere else.

Hell no. My wife tried these abominations for one day. Not even a full day just until the first crap my son had.

Absolutely disgusting that there are people that are alright with putting feces and urine in their washing machine on a regular basis.

It doesn't matter what kind of savings you get, you will never get that subtle layer of baby shite out your clothes

Diapers run about $0.17-$0.30 a piece. I will glad OT a quarter every time to not have to clean some of the things that have come out of my child. I wrap that diaper up and toss it in the trash. No scrubbing, toilet water rinsing, and no mixing it with my clothes.

I have a almost 2 year old in diapers and a newborn in diapers. I spend about $100 a month but mainly because the newborn flies through them. Somebody said you pay less as they get older and that is accurate. Also, Luvs is much cheaper and does well compared to Pampers (at least for the girl). Both my boys leaked through every diaper but Pampers. The girl is much easier in that sense.

The real kicker is if you have to get on special formula. $40 for a container of Nutramagen which he goes through 1.5 containers a week. At 3 months old, my kids food budget was more than my wife and i’s For the month.
