… says the guy who doesn’t understand stand that money runs the world. China was attempting to play the long game but now their birth rates are plummeting so you can’t build a world occupying regime without conscripts. China gains absolute zero by attacking the US. that move effectively ends any of this “World Domination” bullshite…

If it were to ever come to a kinetic fight and manages to stay non nuclear .. The US would hurl more freedom poles than China can handle, Plus Japan been itching as well as Taiwan.

The US Military is pretty amazing. To join forces with Israel and take out the Ayatollah and have no casualties of our own just is one amazing job.

Considering the Dems partial shutdown of DHS for their war against ICE has actually had zero effect on ICE due to it already being fully funded I think Dems need to stop holding the rest of DHS hostage. It should have been funded anyway before the events of last night and today. Biden’s Autopen already let in terrorists, and Dems support Hamas, other illegal & legal alien hamas sympathizers, open borders to easily allow terrorists into the country, illegal gang bangers, illegal sex offenders and rapists, and so on and so forth. It’s well past the time that Dems stand up and put the lives of American citizens above importing future members of the Dem party.

quote:

In the wake of U.S. strikes against Iran, the House Republicans’ X account, run by the office of House GOP Conference Chairwoman Lisa McClain, R-Mich., called on Democrats to pass funding for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), reminding viewers of reports that the Biden administration had released almost 100 suspected terrorists into the country.

“REMINDER: Biden’s DHS released at least 99 individuals on the terror watchlist into the U.S.,” the post read, referencing a scathing report released by House Republicans in 2024.

“It is a dangerous dereliction of duty for Democrats to keep DHS closed right now. Our defenses must be up. Reopen DHS!”

The post comes amid a lapse in funding for DHS that began on Feb. 14 as lawmakers remain gridlocked over Democratic demands to reform Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Democrats have said they won’t vote for DHS funding until Republicans agree to a set of 10 operational changes to ICE — reforms Republicans contend would handcuff President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown.

Although ICE, which operates under DHS, has received funding through Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill, other departments have been left without appropriations.

The fact that they had enriched uranium is why the JCPOA was signed in the first place

It was designed to stop further enrichment. And it did while it was in effect. Then we voluntarily left the agreement and enrichment started back up again. Leaving the JCPOA was a dipshit move

Yeah, the events today will likely be way less important than people think. The Iranian leader was late 80s and probably had cancer. He was a dead man walking anyway.

Most likely scenario is that the US agrees with another general to be leader and he promises not to pursue nuclear weapons. The we find out in 5 years they are still pursuing nuclear weapons in a more secretive bunker and it starts all over again

Maybe. Maybe not this time. The Iranian people are certainly tired of their captors' rule, hence the massive protests with millions marching the streets.

You could argue that it wasn't our problem either way, that the US should mind our own business. But doing nothing would 100% lead to them getting nuclear weapons whether by purchase or production under the current regime, which has been openly hostile to the US; from supplying and financing multiple terrorist organizations to credible threats to assassinate the US president. You cannot allow that.

That nuke(s) would be aimed square at us first, and that's a fact. Even if it's a shitty little suitcase nuke or strapped to an ICBM aimed at one of our bases or mainland, US citizens would be the first target somewhere.

The decision to strike and remove the Ayatollah and attempt regime change went through hundreds of people with more information than us, not just Trump. I was a Desantis guy in the primary and rubbed the diehard Trump people on the poliboard the wrong way plenty, but this was a badass and necessary move.

At the very least you have to remind the bad actors of the world not to frick with the US of A. That we're still the premier power in the world and you can't hide from our intel apparatus. Next time we come to the negotiation table the threats to meet our demands or die a fiery death buried in rubble will be taken seriously. Khamenei apparently didn't think we'd back up our threats and found out.

Oh I agree 100% that the current Iranian population doesn’t support the current regime. It’s such a young country that is very pro-western. People have been talking about Iranian revolution for a while.

My massive concern is how the hell the Iranian people could retake the government? I just see a scenario where the people of Tehran retake control and one of the many generals or ayatollahs consolidate military power and retake it. In the process so many people die

Are we putting troops on the ground to support an actual revolution? If not how do the Iranian revolutions stand up to the actual military?
