What makes you think JBE will go against her wishes?

isn't it possible that the covid numbers are less than predicted because of the stay at home orders?

Yes, and now that we have accomplished that, we must get back to work before you create the death that they predicted

Without an actual useable vaccine, the EXACT SAME number will get infected.

The only purpose it served was to prevent hospital overruns.

SAH orders do not reduce total number of infected, they simply reduce the timeline in which they were infected.

If you did an absolute total lockdown of a population, and ensured that on the zero day, not a single person in that population had the virus or had possession of anything that could carry the virus, then I guess you could shield that population.

That's not what we did, though. We did what we did to slow the spread and spread it out, so not too many people would have it once.

I still think before this is all done, 80% will get it.

We have to find the sweet spot, that zone where enough people are working to make the economy work, but the virus isn't spreading fast enough to overwhelm the hospitals.

At this point we have capacity, so it makes sense to start to open things up, and continue to open things up until we get close to running out of capacity. That point may happen before we are back to 100 percent. And if it does, fine, we stop there for a while.

It was a pleasure seeing Nyx roll in Metry. I'd love to see Endymion on Vets.

Exactly. But most people are either all in or all out. People saying the stay at home order is exclusively to prevent hospitals from being overrun are correct technically but it's limiting the number of cases which in turn limits the number of patients that need the hospital. So yes, the stay at home has limited the number of infected people.

That said, I've got cabin fever and ready to gtfo the house. I'm not going to a standing room only event, but I'm ready to venture off my porch. I've always thought the complete shutdown was overkill but it's hard to say to what degree.

I just read that the Saints are hosting Tom Brady at home for their season opener according to the NFL’s upcoming leaked schedule.
CAN’T wait to hear what Destroya says about that.

Life in America, 2020. No middle ground. You are team red or you are team blue, the end.

Same. Big difference between hanging out with some friends and grilling / taking a day trip somewhere, and being cramped in with 2,000 people at a concert.

You get what you vote for.

I’ll say it again:

I hope all of the uptown and Mid-City old money and the business associations are happy with themselves. This is what they wanted. They are getting what they deserve.

Doesn’t look good for you then because she isn’t going to say anything about Tom Brady. As has been mentioned, LaToya will have zero to do with whether or not the Saints play in the dome, elsewhere, or with/without fans. Zero.

I don’t know why it’s so hard for people to understand this.

JBE can’t even do anything without the state legislature’s vote.

It was press conference the week of April 20. She was wearing a black mask under her chin for the first time since the PCs started interrupting TV shows.

I couldn't find the video on her page. It was probably one of the news stations WWL that I was watching.
