I had to beg my parents to stay up to watch the WCW Monday night nitro main event as a kid..
Also if my mom heard there was a bra and panties match.. then I wasn’t allowed to watch that part
That brings back some good memories though

It seemed everyone watched wrestling in the late 90’s. The Attitude era was so fun. Raw was must see tv. WCW was on fire too. Those black and white NWO shirts were everywhere.

WWF bought out WCW and they changed the name to WWE...
I think that was the beginning of the end for me. But that was also when I was hitting puberty so my interests changed a bit.

I started watching wrestling as a 8 year old in 1995. I would watch wcw nitro with sting, macho man, and hulk hogan vs Rick flair and the four horseman. In the other room I would record wwf raw and watch it the next day when I got home from school so I didn’t miss either one. I loved Sean michaels, undertaker, razor Ramon, and stone cold Steve Austin. I stopped watching wrestling around Goldberg era at the end of the 90s and I just couldn’t get into after that. Anytime they show something from before that I always watch it though.

No it was WWF. They got sued by the World Wildlife Fund, lost, and had to change the name.

They are still larger than life to kids.....what we need is more realism in storylines.

The writing back then was very good in WWF. I know they’ve went PG the last several years but that’s still no excuse for the terrible writing. What little I’ve watched the last few years the writing/storylines are awful.

I was long done with wrasslin by the '90s, but I did watch consistently during the '70s. This brings back some really nice memories of watching with my grandfather when I was a kid.

I don't think anyone would dispute that....they've made a lot of creative changes recently notably bringing Bruce Prichard (Brother Love) back, one of the architects of the WWF's run from the mid-90s through the late 2000s....the realism is slowly creeping back in.

I watched wrestling from the early 80's until about '99, love that time period. Haven't watched at all since then, this time period was at the peak.
