That's pretty much the message that came out from HHS today. If you're vaccinated your able to go about your normal life, and if you're not you're still a danger to society.

CDC still says vaccinated are only ok to not mask if small group outside

Said this many times already.

Why would anyone on the fence about it even consider getting it when they are told that nothing changes after getting it?

It is moronic.

Exactly. This was my only point of this thread. It’s total nonsense.

This is not a comment in whether you should or shouldn’t do it.

Correct. And they are labeling it a “return to freedom”.

It’s so fricking dumb.

Seems with all the bitching on here about things being closed, attendance at sporting events being limited, restaurants not being the same, etc., that'd be incentive enough to get out and get vaccinated so we can go enjoy all those things again.

As a vaccinated person I still have to act like science doesn’t work and mask up and sanitize everywhere with limited capacity so what’s the point

I used to say the same thing and recently said, "frick it". I walk into stores without a mask now. I dare some Karen to start yelling at me. I had COVID last year, recovered from it and got both Moderna shots. They can suck my dick.

the new guidance is that vaccinated people should wear masks to somehow inspire other people to keep wearing masks. lol

I’ll get vaccinated when it’s required to live a normal life, as fricked up as that is. I had Covid, I did my two weeks, etc etc. It’s just not something that’s a large concern of mine. And the more people try to force down my throat, the more petty I feel.

I've mostly done this all along, have had very few things I've wanted to do affected by any of this. So still wouldn't change ealot of peoples minds.

The Vaccine is the incentive. If you need it (High risk, fat as frick, immuno-compromised, liberal, etc.) then the benefit is the protection it offers. Outside of that...why should you incentivize people who...don't...need...it?

Not enough people read it the first time.
This isn't even polio or the mumps much less the plague. Its a cold, that affects obese people and people with heart conditions worse than others (big shock, I know).
If your own health isn't incentive enough, than why is $100? Is that the value you put on yourself?

No, my reading comprehension is just fine. Your entire premise assumes (even if you personally disagree) that The State has some new-found power to restrict our rights. I mean, you imply as much right here:

quote:

If you're vaccinated, then you can do whatever you want with no restrictions at all

See, I can do what I want regardless of some vaccination or "restriction". Because I am a Constitutionally-protected American and my rights do not come from State Dictate.

How about they provide neither incentive or disincentive and we just proceed with our GOD-GIVEN Constitutional rights, indoors, outdoors and whereverthefrickewaredoors? Tune these post-constitutional bureaucrats out and we all do what we want. Wear a mask, don't wear a mask-get the vaccine-don't get the vaccine-whatever-but NEVER seek guidance on our rights from people who don't respect our rights.

that's the OP's point

What we're getting is, you can have a small outdoor gathering on july 4 and you don't have to wear a mask outside when you're not around people. How do you motivate people to get vaccinated when your sell is stuff they never stopped doing.

But that isn’t what they are stating.

The recommendations are the same for everyone before and after they are vaccinated.

So, what is the point? Where is the incentive?

Well, I haven't been to a concert since December 2019 and I'd really like to start going to concerts again. So I got vaccinated. And the more people that get vaccinated, the closer we get to herd immunity and more restrictions being lifted.

Why listen to the liars at all?

What's the point of listening to the propaganda?

The only thing stopping concerts from happening is your party and the CDC
