Hell no. Already too much Big Brother now.

There is literally nothing that could follow this phrase to make me change my mind.

1984 for real. The temptation would be strong to try to use it to curb increasing violent crime but, as with all sorts of things we are dealing with today, I think that once you open the door a crack, someone will come behind you and open it wide or take it off the hinges entirely.
I honestly don’t see why this is tempting. I’d much rather live in a world of chaos than a tyrannical state. Chaos can be fun, tyranny never is.

I have used Clearview AI and other facial recognition programs. I am curious as to why people are saying "no" to this question and not giving a reason or explanation why. Also, "because its a slippery slope" does not answer the question.
Ummm, look at China. Did you live through Covid? Have you read the 4th Amendment? Have you seen Minority Report? Do you value your freedom and civil liberties? Obviously not. Go frick yourself, Roy. You are a fascist goose stepping piece of shite.

Good point. They're already doing this to keep tabs on the Uyghur population in Xinjiang. Makes it easy to haul them to concentration...oh I'm sorry "re-education" camps.
Oh, they’re doing that way more than in Xinjiang. They’re doing it all over the country to everyone.

They won’t use this to arrest inner city thugs. They will use this to track people in the suburbs guilty of wrongthink.

Hell no, I'd never live somewhere with high crime.

Law enforcement has to be willing to apprehend the criminals. They aren’t in BR. Prosecutors and judges have to be willing to prosecute and punish criminals. They aren’t in BR.
Hell no I wouldn’t support this Orwellian shite. The frick is wrong with you for even asking this ?

Agree completely. It’s not dissimilar to the people who completely locked themselves in for Covid. They were/are so paralyzed by an obsession with “safety” that they basically stop living.

There is no if I would support.
We already arrest criminals and let them go. Fix that and enforce existing laws and crime will subside.

And claiming it’s only going to be used for apprehending criminals is disingenuous and a lie.
And while you’re at it, who declares someone a criminal?
Posted on 11/12/22 at 9:34 am to Jergan Jensen
We can’t even get descriptions of suspects. No way something like this would pass a racism test.

I support facial recognition by fathers of their children and the facial recognition that comes from good parenting from mother and father.
This is a solid way to proactively mitigate crime, not react.
Nothing less.

Put the criminals in prison. We can recognize them by their booking photo.
(You can't tell me the cops don't know where the criminals are...)

True but they really stepped up their game in the Xinjiang province to double down on efforts to oppress that population. It's sickening.

Cops don't reduce crime... DA's reduce crime when they do thier jobs.
Either way no.
What he/she/they/it said.

Want to fight crime?
How about we go back to the old school days (perhaps 5-10 years ago) and actually punish criminals HARSH if they commit a crime?
Steal a car - you get locked up for a long time
Rob somebody - you get locked up for a very long time
Shoot someone - you get life
kill someone - you get life
Steal something - you get locked up for a long time
Sell illegal drugs - you get locked up for a very long time
see where I am going with this?
frick all of this stupid technology bullshite to "fight crime"

Hell no. Haven't you seen what the government has already done to citizens?
