I think its funny. Some people spend their whole existence to downvote posts. The Nascar thread has had a serial downvoter for the past 3 years at least and no kidding they do very single one. The amount of effort to do that when it makes no difference to anyone posting is hilarious. Can’t imagine how many hours they spent lol.
If anyone worries about or reduces/modifies posts to appease downvoters then they too are weak minded. I often downvote my own posts because they mean nothing to me. I will downvote this one once I post.

I think it would be fun. I love when I have a week old post that’s probably on the third or fourth page and suddenly gets its first downvote over a week after I post it. It’s kinda flattering that somebody cares so much about me to go through my post history just to give a downvote.

What good would it do?
With the number of alters on this site, you would have to know who they belong to.
I think I have cast a downvote maybe 1/2 dozen times since I stopped lurking and got an account.

Unnecessary. I'd be for a feature to let yourself correct an accidental up/downvote though. Then again, that could get pretty murky fast depending on what the topic is so I see why it is how it is. This ain't YouTube.
