No, my dogs nine years old, I’ve spent more on him then 10k already if you add up food, vet, shots, tag registration, boarding, what have you.

Nah, I've had my Chocolate Lab for 14 years now, we've been through some shite together, she deserves to walk off into the sunset in familiar territory. $10k wouldn't cover the guilt.

It depends. I'd sell my Yorkie for $10 if I knew it wasn't going to be used for bait or prey.

Anyone that takes a pet and uses it as prey or bait needs to be shot in the face.

I like dogs. But it's a damn dog.

I'd say it depends. If I had kids that would be hurt, maybe not. But that's more about human kids than a dog. And it'd have to be a known good owner/situation.

The reverse of this is:
Would you spend 10k on a surgery for your dog, if the only other alternative was euthanasia? Quality of life/life expectancy comes into play--but that's a tall order, too.

I've had mine since he was 3 weeks old and he's helped me deal with a stoke and a divorce. So no.
