Depends. If it's on the beach, then it's the beach. It's downright therapeutic looking out your window at the ocean.

If it's nearby, even if it's a few blocks away, then it's the mountains.

The beach. I’m already accustomed to the heat, and dealing with snow and hard winters get exponentially more difficult aa you age. Yeah, there are hurricanes, but again, used to it.

We went into Boone last time we stayed in Jefferson and Grayson Highlands State Park in Virginia.

Our big mistake was we went on the Friday before Fall Break. Won't do that again.

Boone is pretty. That whole 5-county area is just gorgeous. And it has the climate of Pennsylvania. Perfect.

And your assumption would be incorrect. Unhealthy eating habits create fat people. Guess where the unhealthiest states are located....where them fat baws reside. People eat tons of bad food in the south. Has nothing to do with hot or cold. Like I said, fat baws just wanting to escape the heat in this thread.

Trick question. True OT baws are rich enough to have both.

Beach. Nothing against the mountains, but I have yet to land a limit of specs in Colorado or site cast to redfish in Utah. I also absolutely hate weather below 60 degrees for more than a week at a time and will advance plan an entire week around a hammock under a house with a good book.

How about mountains and a beach? I've lived my whole life in the mountains by lakes. Couldn't imagine living anywhere else.

Rural as hell. I can get most groceries about 16 miles away but everything else is in another county. Worth it IMO

Mountains. Beach doesn’t do much for me. Driving thru the mountains is awesome.

If i live in the mountains next to a lake, absolutely. I need my backyard to be water, I'm tired of launching a boat at a ramp.

I live near the beach so if my son wasn't also near the beach, I wouldn't live near the beach. I would live away from the beach and closer to the mountains. Beach

Nothing better than a beach with nice mountains and a fertile valley.
