FWIW, many on here should consider Paris, Arkansas. If nuclear war ever happens, it will take AT LEAST a decade for it to get there.

I wouldn’t have to fly over the Atlantic to get to Grand Isle.

My grandfather is from Paris, Texas and it's a beautiful area but it has a lot of the same issues a lot of smaller middle American cities have (it hasn't seen a big economic expansion like the rest of Texas). A lot of people have moved closer to Dallas . If you got lucky and found a decent job nearby, it doesn't seem like it would too bad.

If I were very, very rich I'd have a beaux arts decorated pied a terre in one of the 'good' arrondissements, not the ones surrendered to the more recent immigrants.

The late actress Olivia de Havilland lived well into her 90's in Paris France. I'd emulate her.

Actually Paris, TN which is home to the world’s largest fish fry every year in April.
