I've had a handful of turbo vehicles, but I would rather have the bigger engine. (I've never had issues with a turbo though)

Hemi.
No forced induction for this guy.
If I have to, I'm supercharging with a Keene Bell.

You might change your mind seeing a Cummins ISB with twins...rolling coal

Neither.

Really kind of depends on the car. I'd take a (turbo) WRX over a (V8) Dodge Daytona, any day of the week.
Show me a Mustang GT or an unblown Lexus V8 vs. a WRX and it's a tougher decision.
I guess I prefer a turbo overall, but if you're on the turbo all the damn time you'd probably be happier with a V8.

I wouldn’t be afraid of buying an ecoboost. More power than any half-ton V8. The V8 probably has a better chance of lasting longer.
The 6.2 in my Sierra has a thing or two to show your ecoboost!

Turbo lag is a drivers problem. keep it spooled up and you won't have that issue.

I’ll take a na V6 over turbo 4 100% of the time.
Na v8 vs a turbo 6 is a tossup and depends on the application. Would prefer the v8 in an suv, turbo 6 in a sedan or sports car.

I'm a big fan of my current twin turbo V6 but i've had both and each has its own unique properties.

Don't those BMWs have two little turbos instead of one big one... and 4.11 gears... and a 6-cylinder engine? If you're feeling any kind of lag it's probably because you bought the cheapest gas in town, the ECU knows it, and it's retarding your timing big time.

You keep it matted against the brakes at stop lights?

At this elevation (6000 ft) turbos run a lot better than NA. The one NA car I had would barely get out of its own way. (To be fair it didn't run that great at sea level either but was a lot worse up here.) Since then it's been all turbocharged.

Truth.

4.4 V-8 has sequential twin turbos.
If there's lag (and there must be) it is very minor.

That comment makes a lot of sense if you're talking about an automatic transmission, but with a stickshift you can definitely launch the car at an RPM where turbo lag isn't an issue.

Selling the vehicle before the warranty is up then it is a toss up. Not a fan of turboblag in stop and go traffic.
Keeping a vehicle for long term, NA is the way to go. A turbo has never failed on a NA engine.

I'd feel ripped off if I buy these newer cars/SUVs with a 2.0T for $50K+.

My 2004 Saab 9-3 turbo was a blast, just learnt its sweet spot. Got 30 mpg, 150k trouble free miles. I moss it

6.2 is a wonderful engine. Too bad GM wants everyone to have a 5.3. If GM allowed any engine in any trim like Ford does, I’d be driving a Chevy.
