Didn't some dude in Colorado just kill a mountain lion with his bare hands a few months ago? A bobcat is just a big kitty cat. Mountain lion > kitty cat.

Lol. Bobcats attack turkey hunters every year, almost always from behind. I’ve never heard of a turkey hunter being killed by a bobcat. I’ve never heard of anyone killed by a bobcat.

This is exactly what happened to me. It hit my shoulder and it felt more like someone trying to grab and scare you than anything that could kill you. It scared me because I had no idea it was there, but it was so scared after hitting me and figuring out I wasn’t a turkey, it was gone before I could turn around and do anything.

The man vs bobcat discussion has come up several times. People way over state them. They're like 30 lb cats. There was a story of an old man choking one to death with his bare hands when he ran into it in his back yard. I'd expect that I'd need to get stitches if I had to fight one, but I have little doubt that I'd be able to pick one up and choke out or crush it. More likely in a real life situation though a bobcat would probably just run away when faced with a fight with a bigger predator (human).

On the other hand a wolf would kill me dead.

The necropsy performed by Colorado Parks and Wildlife veterinarians in Fort Collins identified the lion as a "kitten'' with a weight of 24 pounds. However, the animal was heavily scavenged and officials estimated the animal's live weight was 35 to 40 pounds. The report listed the animal in "fair condition'' with no diseases noted.

So about the size of a large bobcat.

Your dog hasn’t taken down a god damn caribou on a few occasions.

He outweighs a male timberwolf by 60lbs.

There is a difference in a dog that's "blood is hot' and is aggressive than one that sees you as prey and has intent on killing you.

I used to have a 150 lb Cane Corso...if he had ever wanted to kill me he could. Listening to him bite and break deer bones was scary.

Watch a 160lb kangal fight multiple coyotes for his own amusement.

Doesn’t make him a better hunter/killer.

He made the mistake once when confusing my male bulldog for a plaything. Bulldog went into his yard.

He went for my calf muscle as I was separating land got all four canines in and was pushing for the bone.

He got an open palm hit to the base of his skull and got to learn what the ceiling of the porch felt like... Repeatedly.

He's got one mouth.

I didn't put a bullet in him because of my ex. That was at 18 months or so.

7 years later and he's one of the best dogs I've ever owned.

Proof that sometimes dogs, just like people, need to know someone can kick their arse.

So now weight matters to your argument?

What kind of dog do you have?

This. My uncle had 2 dogs that he rescued that were found in a police raid. They were half German Shepherd half wolf.

Sweetest dogs in the world but if we had an injured deer that kept running we’d just let them go and they’d hunt it down and kill it. Watching them hunt and kill let you know how truly dangerous they were. Not watching a video on YouTube, seeing them rip a deers jugular our or break its spine with their bite was terrifying.

Cracks me up the dumbasses in here that think they’d rather fight a 30 pound bobcat instead of a 150lb wolf.

Dudes have no idea.

Let me ask you this- do you think you could hold off a wolf with your bare hands if he was starving?

This isn’t a 18 month old puppy in the backyard that gets too excited.

They’re made to kill animals 10x your size. A wolf would rip you apart.

Bobcats aren’t even all that big compared to a wolf. Bobcat all the way.

One on one, yes. I'm going to be injured, he's going to be dead.

Are there any records of bobcats killing adult humans? I know there are plenty of wolves. This seems the determinative factor.
