I own multiple daiquiri drive-thru stores. If you order a Strawberry Daq from my store a bartender (working solo often) grabs Rum, Strawberry puree, Sweet & Sour mix, and a blender. She then hand pours it to the ounce based off a recipe, ice, daq base, blend, cup, cap, out the window. That’s one drink. What if the order has 3 drinks, therefore tripling the work?
I worked seven years in a retail job where I had to ring up the items, go get the often heavy products, and load the products in the customer’s vehicle. Never got a penny tip, and never really thought about it. So I’m not going to cry for a gal who doesn’t get a generous tip for making drinks.

The nerve of a drive thru worker asking for a tip is enough to make me never want to eat from the establishment again.
Some business uses tips to subsidize her wage and she's the bad guy here?

They ask it in away where most people feel uncomfortable saying no, because of that it gives me great pleasure to say no.

The even has a question for you to answer.

Some of you supposed grown arse men are the biggest fricking pussy's. If you don't have the nerve to sack up complain to the manager or owner of the place, don't come and complain about it here.
Some of y'all sound like my wife when she's on her period. Do you just like to complain to anyone who will listen about any and everything that is slightly irksome ? Can you not just shake your head, shut the frick up and go about your day ?

I went to a kids basketball game and they had an machine for the cards but the kids working the small concession stand were turning it around and bypassing the tip page. So proud of my kids school and area lol.

Why don't you pay them what you feel is proper for the work they are providing and then raise your price to compensate. You can then post a sign that's says you pay your employees a proper wage and tips not needed.
Because I’ve overdrafted my fricking business account 20 times this year!
Ive had to make payroll out of my personal savings which has been whittled away to nothing motherfricker!
Im currently sitting at -$183 balance in another business that has been keeping me afloat but has been pressured too much and is now feeling it.
Raise my price to compensate? And completely price myself out of the market?! Would you buy a fricking $17 Margarita?

2 things I enjoy living in Germany (1) I have to really go out of my way to find a fast foot drive thru. (2) I’m not asked to leave a tip if I find one.
ETA - I had no idea the magnitude of clusterfrick this thread was before participating.

True but the servers don't care at all about being nice to customers as a result
As opposed to food servers in the states?

Either you suck at business or your industry is doomed.

In the last 3 years, how many businesses have you seen close their doors?
Would you say they all suck at business too?
What about when you get laid off from your current employer? Do they suck at business?
It’s definitely not massive government induced inflation! NOOOOOOOO, it’s not that.
It’s nothing to do with COGS rising around us quarterly. It’s nothing to do with taxes, or permits (doubled in the last year), and all other costs associated with business.

Or maybe the current state of capitalism is fricked.

They had the balls to put 25%, 30% and 35% as the options on the pad, I almost hit no tip...
I always push no tip and leave a cash tip. Let’s me choose exact amount I want to tip and keeps “Sleepy Joe” from getting in the transaction…

Unless you are giving cash directly to the person serving you, every prompt to tip should be phrased:
“Would you like to make a donation to our business model”
But weirdly, people don’t like donating to for profit businesses.
