Waiting on El Gaucho's hot take before forming an opinion.

Have a couple of good friends that are gay that could watch my kid any day of the week. Had a gay guy stand in my wedding.
Not sure what that has to do with being more comfortable with a random woman babysitter

My issue has nothing to do with the gay angle, it’s the random unknown MALE being a babysitter angle

Why the frick would I let someone with a mental illness watch my kids? Would you let a psychopath watch your children?

Yeah I edited, I agree.

Gayness wouldn't bother me, its the maleness

However, for some reason, I think it would almost be MORE normal if the dude was gay.

I would also like to hookup all the dads in here to a lie detector saying they would be ok with a gay male babysitter watching their kids to see if they are actually telling the truth

I would go further and say I wouldn't trust any male babysitter that I'm not related to. What kind of man, straight or gay, watches kids as a means of making money?

ETA: Didn't see you mentioned straight males too

Yeh that’s what I said in my original post in this thread

When it comes to babysitting, I’m for feminism

Actually studies show that the overwhelming majority of convicted child molesters self identify as straight

and more often than not are related to their victims

But ya know gut feeling instincts etc etc

So do you think gay is a choice that could be counseled out? Could you choose to get your dick hard with a dude? Just asking. I sure as hell couldn't.

For some reason I think I may prefer a flamboyantly gay male nanny over a straight dude.

At least until my kids are old enough to understand what's going on

That was the choice that Barack Obama's mother made, and she said "Yes"

Tiers of who can watch my children:

Tier 1:
-Someone I personally know, and trust. Gay or straight. Male or female.
-A college age or teen female who is the kid of a family friend.

Tier 2:
-A female who comes with references, who I have no ties to. Like answering an ad.

Tier 3 (absolute no's):
-Any male whom I don't personally know
-Any female who I don't personally know that has no references
-anyone that just gives me bad vibes.

there you go OP. I'm leaving now.

Do you see the logical fallacy in your response to his question?

I think he is saying gay isn’t a choice

And considering a person can naturally be inclined to be attrscted to something outside of their natural biological nature, wouldn’t calling it a mental illness make some sense?
