Would you intervene in Flash Retail Theft?

You are in store and suddenly 8 people rush in and start grabbing stuff and start casually moving to the door. Clearly a "flash theft" like the ones we've been seeing.
Do you intervene? Do you try to capture just one?
What if it was just one guy pushing a shopping cart out of Home Depot with a piece of equipment on it? ( This happened to me once) Would you intervene?
Why or why not? I'll hang up and listen.

Not my responsibility. That's also frickin dangerous. I would assume some of those people would have guns and potentially shoot me. Not worth it.

I've seen that at Home Depot too. Two guys, I had just parked when they were racing something to the car next to me and peeled out. Bunch of employees standing out front watching.
And hell no. You're likely to get injured, charged, and the store that owns the property won't do shite. Who would you be white knighting for?

Probably not but if I was pushed out of the way by one of them trying to steal shite I might accidentally dump 3 rounds into their chest.

I had this happen at Target while back. I wasn't going to attempt to stop him and risk getting shot. I just spoke very loud and said "Hey, that guy is walking out with that TV and not paying!"
Not a single employee, manager included, paused from what they were doing and acknowledged the guy.

Really depends on what store it is. Target, Walmart, Nike, etc.. then frick no.
Local store where I see the owner every time I walk in. I'd try and do something.

Saw a guy run out of Home Depot with a power tool once. I told my wife to get to the car with our son. I jogged after the guy and took down his license plate # to provide to the police. That's the extent of me getting involved. I'm not going to risk my life of my family's life over property that isn't mine.
